Hathazari FC opened preparations for the new season this week, with the senior squad reporting back to College Gate Ground for the first fitness sessions of pre-season. Close to thirty players took part across two evenings, including six trialists hoping to force their way into contention ahead of the opening fixture.
The coaching staff have set an early focus on conditioning, with double sessions planned through the next fortnight before the ball comes out in earnest. “We want every player walking into the first match already sharp,” said the club’s head coach. “The League table doesn’t care how good your pre-season looked on paper — it cares about points, so we’re building fitness first and touch second.”
Last season’s captain returns to lead the side again, alongside four academy graduates who have been promoted into the senior squad after strong performances at u-19 level. The club has also confirmed that its home fixtures this season will again be played at the College Gate Ground, with kick-off times to be announced as the fixture list is finalised.
Supporters can follow the build-up to the opening match on this site’s Fixtures & Results page, where the full schedule will be published as soon as it’s confirmed by the league.
Training remains open to spectators most evenings — anyone in Hathazari curious about the club is welcome to come down to College Gate Ground and watch.
