Community Day: Hathazari FC Hosts Local Schools for Football Clinic

Hathazari FC welcomed pupils from three local schools to College Gate Ground on Sunday for a free football clinic, part of the club’s ongoing effort to keep grassroots football growing in the area.

Close to eighty children took part in coaching drills led by first-team players and academy coaches, followed by a series of small-sided matches on the main pitch. Each participant went home with a certificate, and three standout players from the day have been invited to train with the club’s youngest academy age group.

“Days like this are exactly why the club exists,” said one of the senior players who helped run the sessions. “Most of us started exactly like this — a kid with borrowed boots, kicking a ball around this same ground. If a clinic like this gets even one more kid into football, it’s worth it.”

The club plans to make Community Day a regular fixture on the calendar, with the next session tentatively planned to coincide with the first home match of the new season. Schools interested in taking part in future editions can reach out via the Contact page.
